Chronograph 3 Hisui:翡翠は、浅岡が翡翠海岸で採取した翡翠原石の
美しさを、文字盤に表現しています。単一の色合いでは天然石の表
情に迫ることは難しく、試行錯誤を重ね、複数の色を点描すること
で、翡翠原石の自然な美しさを再現しています。
Inspired by the white-green Itoigawa jade (or ‘hisui’) unique to Japan, the
Chronograph 3 Hisui: 翡翠 captures the beauty of jadeite found in loose stones
washed down from mountain streams to the pebble beaches of the Jade Coast.
The dial’s intricate texture and shimmering micro-metallic flakes, achieved
through pointillism technique, reflect the essence of jadeite’s natural beauty,
while paying homage to Hajime Asaoka’s memories and vision.
